Kudrat Kadelu is a Research Affiliate with the Yale Consumer Health Informatics Lab (CHIL) and a third-year Psychology major with a Public Health minor at Spelman College. Her research interests include mental health experiences among Black populations and maternal health disparities. Previously, Kudrat completed research at Spelman where she examined contextualized stressors in pregnant African American women, finding which stress mediators influenced depressive symptoms among the population. Additionally, she explored how Adverse Childhood Experiences lead to mental health struggles and imprisonment at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. At CHIL, Kudrat has contributed to the WellSis Project by helping make the features culturally responsive for Black women. She is also working on the IMHOTEP project, which involves analyzing mental health impacts of social media use on younger populations. Her long-tern goals are to discover interventions that support minority populations.
