Wisdom Dayok

Wisdom Dayok is a Postgraduate Associate at Yale University, where she works across the Consumer Health Informatics Lab (CHIL) and the Equity Research and Innovation Center (ERIC). She earned her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Fisk University. Her research interests include health informatics, human-centered AI, and digital health, with a particular interest in how emerging technologies can be developed and evaluated to improve health outcomes and better serve underserved communities.

At CHIL, Wisdom contributes to projects exploring the design and use of digital technologies to support mental health and wellbeing. Her work includes research examining Black women’s experiences with digital mental health tools and how psychological, cultural, and emotional safety can inform their design. She also contributes to WellSis, a digital mental health intervention designed to support Black women, and Welcome Home, a digital platform connecting formerly incarcerated individuals with health and social resources. Her additional work includes research examining mental health in the Eastern Caribbean and the role of affirming online spaces in supporting Black LGBTQ+ youth.

Prior to joining Yale, Wisdom interned at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where she applied machine learning methods to fusion energy research, and participated in Google’s Tech Exchange program. Broadly, she is interested in how computing and data can be used to develop more effective, accessible, and equitable approaches to health and healthcare.
